Pricing should be as thoughtful as the hair design itself. Every appointment at Visual Grammar is unique. Rather than charging based on a predetermined menu of services, pricing reflects the time, expertise, and professional materials required to create your individual hair design.
WHY I PRICE THIS WAY
Traditional salon pricing assumes that every service is the same. I personally do not believe that every client should pay the same price simply because a service has the same name. Every appointment is unique because every client is unique.

This pricing model simply reflects those differences.
HOW PRICING WORKS
Studio Time + Professional Materials = YOUR Investment.
Studio Time: Studio Time includes every part of your appointment including:
-Consultation
-Formulation
-Application
-Processing
-Shampoo/Condition/Treatment time
-Haircut
-Styling
-Education
-Finishing
-Maintenance planning
Current Pricing: $130/Hour. Billed in 15-Minute increments. One hour minimum.
Professional Materials: Professional Materials include the products used specifically used for your appointment. These may include:
-Permanent Color
-Demipermanent Color
-Lightener
-Developers
-Bond Builders
-Treatments
-Specialty Products
Rather than estimating product costs into every service, materials are calculated based on what your hair actually requires.
This means a client requiring very little product is not subsidizing someone using significantly more.
PRICING FAQ
Why Not Flat Pricing?
A client with fine, shoulder-length hair and someone with very thick, waist-length hair may request the exact same service, but those appointments require different amounts of time and product.
Charging those appointments the same simply would not reflect the work or professional materials involved.
This pricing model allows every guest to pay for what their appointment actually requires.
NO GRATUITY:
Gratuity is never expected.
My pricing is designed to reflect of the value of my work from the beginning.
If you would like to support Visual Grammar beyond your appointment, referrals and thoughtful reviews are always appreciated.
Estimates:
After your consultation, in most cases, I will provide an estimate before we begin whenever possible so you understand what to expect.
If your goals change during the appointment, or unexpected circumstances arise, we will discuss those changes together BEFORE moving forward.
Can I Stay Within a Certain Budget?
Absolutely. If you have a budget you would like to stay within, please let me know during your consultation. Together we will discuss your priorities and create a plan that aligns with both your goals and your investment.
What If I Don’t Know What I Need?
You do not need to know the name of the service or the techniques required. My role is to understand your goals and recommend the approach thats best for your hair. Every appointment begins with a conversation.
